FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the atmosphere like/what does the salon look like?
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.
Can I book a treatment at the same time as someone else?
Yes, that is possible. You can always send a message so that the appointments fit together well. I work alone, so it means you will be sitting together comfortably in the salon, watching each other's nail treatments, choosing colors, etc. They are one after the other and unfortunately cannot be done simultaneously, so the treatment duration will naturally be longer.
I bite my nails, can I still book a treatment?
This depends on the condition of your nails, their length, and your own preferences. If your nails are very short, damaged, or bitten, product cannot always be applied. In that case, I prefer to let the nails grow back naturally in their original shape and condition before doing too much to them. Often, a basic manicure/spa manicure, good care, and returning every two weeks is best at the beginning. This also allows them to grow the fastest. You can always contact me and send a photo for more information.
Do you paint your toenails too?
Yes, I also paint toenails, provided they are healthy.
Can I give a treatment as a gift?
Great! That’s possible, just get in touch to arrange it.
How can I pay at the salon?
You can pay in cash or via Tikkie. You may also make a bank transfer in advance.
Allergies
Lately, you hear more about allergies to certain nail products. Just as I became allergic to hair dye, this can also happen to certain substances in nail products. When applying nails, it is important to know what you are doing, how it works, and how to minimize risks. I have studied prevention, work meticulously, and use high-quality products.
Nail damage
I often hear the question of whether your nails get damaged by the products you use. Explained in simple terms: just as nail polish does not damage your nails, neither will any other artificial product, provided you use the right products and work hygienically. The damage is mainly caused by excessive filing, drying out due to too much acetone, but also by peeling off gel polish or returning too late for a touch-up.
Can my friend, child, or pet come along?
I prefer that you come to the appointment alone, unless you are accompanying your daughter as a parent or guardian. If you would like a duo treatment, that is generally possible. Due to hygiene or allergy reasons, pets generally cannot come along.
You can always get in touch if you have any doubts about anything.
Do you also do press-on nails?
I can make a nice set for you upon request. Just ask about the possibilities. Generally, you can use these multiple times.
Do you also do house calls?
No, unfortunately, it is only possible to come to the salon.
