Expert, trained, various certificates, choice of various treatments, nail art/unique designs
Your visit..
How nice that you are thinking about a nail treatment, or perhaps you have already booked, are switching to another stylist, or...? Can't wait for a beautiful set of well-groomed nails? Before you stop by, you might want to learn a bit more about the treatments. You can read more about this below. You will also find the house rules on the 'prices' page.
Your first appointment You may book a free consultation before your first visit. It is good to think in advance about what you want, what is important regarding work/sports, etc. I only do nails for women aged 18 . From the age of 16, with parental consent, I apply gel polish/BIAB. You have a standard 1-week guarantee.
Manicures
I offer a mini manicure, basic manicure, and a spa manicure.
A mini manicure is included as standard in all treatments. This involves filing the nails to the correct length and shape, pushing back the cuticles, and applying care products after the treatment. This takes approximately 5-10 minutes.
With a basic manicure, your cuticles, surrounding skin, and nails are thoroughly prepared and cared for. A must for almost everyone, be sure to book it. The dead skin is removed. Your nail bed appears longer. The polish is applied closer to your cuticles, resulting in less regrowth. You therefore enjoy beautiful nails for longer, and they look stunning. For most people, this is not only desirable but also necessary, because the cuticles are very long, excessive, or have grown onto the nail bed. This can prevent the product from adhering properly to the nails. The treatment takes 10-30 minutes.
A spa manicure is truly delightful! You receive advice for your nails, a soak bath, scrub, hand mask, hand massage, cuticle care, filing and polishing of the nails, and we finish with a nourishing cream and oil. Just a moment of pure relaxation, me-time, and a chance to unwind. This is great for a treat just this once, or as a gift, but it can also be used in preparation for a synthetic nail treatment, and is highly recommended if you have recently had your artificial nails removed. Gel polish and strengthening/BIAB
Heard of gel polish that lasts 2 days or other problems? For optimal results, it is wise to choose the right treatment for your nail type.
You can choose between gel polish, light reinforcement/BIAB, and optionally add gel polish. These treatments are not suitable for creating long nails, but with BIAB and the light reinforcement, you can create more length than with gel polish alone.
You can choose to have them lengthened, but it is most convenient to let them grow naturally. After 3 weeks, you will already have that edge you want! Then you also have some time to get used to the new length.
Tips:
When booking your appointment, you can choose from a variety of treatments and you also have a 'comments field'.
A follow-up treatment means returning after your first visit, following the application of a new set. This could be the 2nd or 100th time. This follow-up treatment includes a mini-manicure, reshaping and customizing your nails, rebalancing the nails, removing any old product, applying new product, and aftercare. This applies to every type of treatment. Therefore, it is not necessary to have anything removed first, unless you have product from another salon on your nails or are switching from, for example, gel polish to acrylic nails. Please also ensure that you book the basic manicure as well.
When you select a treatment, you will immediately see approximately when you will be finished. Any nail art wishes? You can select this or enter it in the comments field. Are you unsure or do you want to make a last-minute appointment? Just send a WhatsApp message, call, or email. You can also enter it in the comments field. I will then adjust your online booking if necessary.
Acrylic nails
Those beautiful longer nails that still look natural are characteristic of acrylic. It stays on well for almost everyone.
Your first new set is often a true transformation and super fun to see. It generally takes longer than a touch-up.
Acrylic is made from a powder and liquid; you can smell this odor, and it is one of the strongest types of artificial nails. You generally do not smell gel, but that does not mean it isn't there. Acrylic or any other product does not damage the natural nail. In general, you actually have stronger nails after a certain period.
You don't have to worry about a thing; no splitting nails, no polishes you have to pull out at the last minute. You can also design it exactly to your liking; the length, the shape, the color..:-)
Here is some information to start with... All gels (gel polish, BIAB, gel nails) and acrylic powders are one big family: 'the acrylates'. In that sense, acrylic or any other product is therefore not better or worse than one or the other.
Nail art/special occasions
That one cute design, those stripes, hearts, glow-in-the-dark! If you love that, you've definitely come to the right place!
So, do you want something more than just gel polish or a natural look? With nail art, the possibilities are endless; subtle and elegant, but also something completely different. There are countless options: glitter, rhinestones, nail tattoos, stickers, dots, stripes, clean designs, hand-painted, gradients, prints... I love it! Do you have a party coming up, are you going on vacation, or attending a wedding? There are plenty of possibilities for those occasions too.
Please let me know in advance if possible, so I can schedule enough time for you. Prices vary; it is best to check. Rates are guidelines. A more favorable price applies for 5 or 10 nails.
Caring for your new nails<33
- Care for twice daily with a nourishing cuticle oil (and optionally a hand cream).
- Do not use sharp objects under the nail to clean it, but for example, direct the water stream onto it in the shower with a nail brush/toothbrush.
- Treat your nails with love. In other words, handle them with care and do not use them as an object or tool to open jars, cans, etc.
- Wear gloves when cleaning/gardening
- Some substances can leave stains on your nails, such as self-tanners/tanning cream, paint, and certain spices (e.g. curry/turmeric).
- Please return on time for the follow-up treatment as agreed during your visit. After 3 to 4 weeks, your nails will be brought back into balance. Waiting too long for this can entail unpleasant risks. For example, your nail may start to buck, but also become more vulnerable to bumps, etc.
- Have pieces of polish come loose from your nail after all? Then make a new appointment to have it touched up sooner. Do not pull or pick at it yourself, as you may pull off a layer of your nail plate and damage it. If it just falls off, there will be no damage.
- Are you bothered by your roots, but it's not time yet? Paint over it with a darker polish or make an earlier appointment to touch it up.
- During the first 24-48 hours, the curing process is optimized for the nails. This means that your nails have reached optimal strength and adhesion by then. The first 24 hours are therefore the most important, so try to treat them as well as possible during this time. It is better not to lie in the pool or sauna all day immediately.
- Is there still something going on? Please feel free to contact us so we can discuss it.
